EUROPEAN TEACHING EXCELLENCE FOR STUDENTS’ BETTER PERFORMANCE
The Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine hosted the summer school for teachers within the EU ERASMUS + Jean Monnet Project “European Teaching Excellence for Students’ Better Performance” during June 14-19, 2021.
The aim of the summer school was to acquaint teachers with the experience of the PISA leading countries. Among the EU Member States are Estonia, Finland, Poland etc. The summer school became an interactive platform for further training of teachers for better performance of Ukrainian students. The summer school trainers – Oleh Topuzov, Oksana Zabolotna, Olena Lokshyna, Liudmyla Kalinina, Daryna Vasylieva – shared the promising experience of EU Member States in preparing students to take PISA tests in reading, mathematical and scientific literacy and conducted training on the development of tests and analogues of PISA tasks for Ukrainian students through Ukrainian textbooks. The added value of the summer school was the participants’ mastering of the innovative ICT formats of trainings, networking and the creation of the community of practice.
